Frequently asked questions
What is paracord?
Paracord is a lightweight, nylon rope which used to be used for parachutes during World War II. However, now it is mainly used for craft projects.
how can i support if I don't like wearing bracelets?
At Knot-For-Profit, we understand that wearing bracelets isn't everyone's thing. That's why we offer a wide range of other paracord products, such as keyrings, woggles and luggage tags. You can also support our charities by donating directly.
how do i care for my bracelet?
We recommend cleaning your paracord bracelets every once in a while when dirt builds up. You can do this when you are washing your hands, or with a toothbrush, soap and baking soda. Be careful not to use high temperatures, bleach or a dryer, as they could damage the durability and colour of your bracelet. Also do not scrub too hard and risk losing the 'Knot-For-Profit' tag.
can i customise my bracelet?
All of the products we offer, including bracelets, keyrings, woggles and luggage tags, can be customised by colour. We currently offer 14 different colours of paracord, of which 5 of them are special camo patterns.
are the bracelets waterproof?
Paracord is not waterproof in the sense that it won't deflect water droplets that splash onto it. However, being wet will not damage the paracord or affect its durability. So if you're taking a shower or going underwater wearing a bracelet, don't worry – if anything, this is a good way to keep it clean and looking new!
do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately we do not currently ship outside of Australia, but we're working on expanding to international shipping soon.
are the bracelets adjustable?
Some of our bracelets feature an adjustable loop which allows them to be fitted onto your wrist. If the bracelet you want is not adjustable, let me know at the Checkout if your wrist size is different to the standard 15-16cm size. (You can easily measure your wrist size with a piece of string.)
what is a woggle?
Woggles are small loops used to secure the ends of a scarf or neckerchief. They are commonly used in the Scouting or Girl Guides movements as part of their uniform.
